Dr. Lenore Coleman

Lenore Coleman received her Bachelor of Arts from Revelle College, University of California, San Diego and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed an ASHP approved residency in Ambulatory Care at the USC School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Coleman has been a practicing pharmacist for over 28 years and has worked as a clinical pharmacist in Acute Care, Ambulatory Care, Long Term Care, and Community Pharmacy settings. Within each of these practices, Dr. Coleman has focused on the care and management of people with diabetes.

Dr. Coleman was Chief of Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Services at the VA Sepulveda Medical Center. There she was responsible for the coordination of seven clinical pharmacists, four primary care residents and the Patient Ambulatory Care and Education (PACE) clinical pharmacy program.

Dr. Coleman holds the title of Adjunct Professor at the Xavier College of Pharmacy and Research Fellow at the Center of Excellence, Howard School of Pharmacy. A certified diabetes educator (CDE) of 10 years, Dr. Coleman provides education and training of “at risk” populations nationwide. In March

1996, Dr. Coleman became a Fellow of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists which represents sustained excellence in a practice area for more than 10 years. A recognized expert in the areas of Diabetes, Cardiovascular risk-reduction as well as medication adherence, Dr. Coleman has numerous publications in these areas and presents at both national and international forums. Most Recently, Dr. Coleman has built a Digital Health Wellness Center in Jonesboro, Georgia. The Wellness Center provides AADE certified Diabetes Education classes, Diabetes Prevention Classes, Weight Loss and Nutrition classes. In addition, Village Broadcasting is filming and broadcasting ongoing health and community-based topics for adults and teens.

Michele Ballard

Michele Ballard is a registered and licensed dietitian with diverse work experience in the field of nutrition. Ms. Ballard has worked in the local government, community, and school settings for many years, utilizing various evidenced-based curriculum. Michele is passionate about helping individuals to eat better and live more vibrant lives. She has done this by equipping and inspiring culturally, socioeconomically diverse individuals and communities with culturally relevant information and strategies to address barriers that prevent them from making healthier dietary choices. Ms. Ballard’s special interests include weight management, diabetes prevention and management, plant-based nutrition, and heart disease management and prevention. She is committed to sharing her prowess to decrease the occurrence of diet-related diseases.

 

Jenna Griffin

Jenna Griffin is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who loves helping others improve their health through food. She enjoys showing patients and clients how to change their eating habits to experience the benefits of good nutrition. As a former college track athlete, Jenna understands the importance of healthy eating. She received a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from The Ohio State University. Her areas of expertise include bariatrics, weight management, diabetes and hypertension. You can find her in the kitchen cooking and spending time with her husband and their three children.
